Snowy Trail of Shadows

Creek crossing at the Trail of Shadows in Longmire (Mount Rainier National Park). The water in this area has a brownish color due to all the minerals and there even some hot springs along the trail. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. – John 8:36

Christine Falls

I cruised around Mount Rainier National Park back in October and my first stop was Christine Falls. I’ve driven over these falls numerous times but I’ve never stopped to check it out. I’m glad I did as it is pretty impressive with the bridge coming over top if it. There was even a couple that […]

Thunder Creek Trail

Here’s one from the Thunder Creek Trail in North Cascades National Park. We did a 4 mile out and back to the 4th of July trail junction (I believe the trail is a total of 12 miles) with the little ones. He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all […]

From The Other Side

Here’s the last of my bridge shots from the Silver Falls Trail in Mount Rainier National Park. Great trail that the kids can do. I tell you, among those born of women there is no one greater than John; yet the one who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he – […]

The Bridge At Silver Falls

Here’s another one of a bridge you’ll find on the Silver Falls Trail in Mount Rainier National Park. Enjoy. For my eyes have seen your salvation, which you have prepared in the sight of all nations: a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of your people Israel – Luke 2:30-32

Silver Falls Bridge

Is it just me or do other people think twice when leaking over wooden bridges like this one when hiking? I’m sure they are made well but I’m always thinking the wood planks could snap at any moment so I try to walk on the edges where they are nailed in. Maybe I’m just paranoid. […]

Rain Forest Loop

You know what’s stressful to do is take a long exposure with two little ones hanging around. I had the bright idea of doing a long exposure to get the water flowing under the bridge with them next to me with really nowhere for them to go since we were bound by the boardwalk we […]

Narrows Park

Here’s one of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge from the Narrows Park. I’ve been meaning to check out that park for some time and last weekend I was over in the Gig Harbor area so I made a quick stop. The weather conditions weren’t very good but I’m not in that area too often so I […]

Frozen in Time

I like taking long exposures with water especially when there are some rocks in the foreground. I usually take them near a river or stream where there’s a lot of movement in the water which can give a misty effect around the rocks. However, in this case the combination of the long exposure and lack […]

Bridge Over the Puyallup River

This bridge is used by trains to get over the Puyallup River in Washington state. You can find it at one end of the Puyallup River walk which is a nice paved trail that follows the river.
