Forest Sunburst

Here’s a little sunburst captured last summer in Montana.

But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him. – Acts 2:24

Tree and a Stream

Here’s a shot I took while visiting Montana this summer. Plenty of open space, mountains, and wildlife on the western side.

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. – Luke 21:33

Wild Ride

This wild bronco ride was shot at the Blue Moon Rodeo in Columbia Falls, Montana over the summer.

He said to them, “You are the ones who justify yourselves in the eyes of others, but God knows your hearts. What people value highly is detestable in God’s sigh – Luke 16:15

Bronc Diving

I think the Olympics needs a new event: Bronc Diving Tokyo 2020 🙂 This is from the Blue Moon rodeo in Columbia Falls, Montana.

Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it. What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit their very self? – Luke 9:23-35

White Cliffs of Montana

The white cliffs of Montana. Not sure what the name of this hill is but it sure is nice. This was taken during a trip I made to the Treasure State last June.

Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful – Luke 6:36

Bullnado

I rarely go to rodeos but when in Montana do as the Montanans do. The Blue Moon Rodeo in Columbia Falls, Montana runs every Thursday night throughout the Summer with plenty of events. My favorite were the Bronc and Bull riding. One of my favorite captures from the night was a bull doing these crazy 360 turns that created a little tornado in the dirt he was kicking up. I have dubbed it the #bullnado.

“But in those days, following that distress, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light;
the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken. At that time people will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory. And he will send his angels and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of the heavens” – Mark 13:24-27

Avalanche Lake

This is Avalanche Lake in Glacier National Park. It’s a 4.6 mile hike to the lake and back. I’ve done this hike numerous times usually with friends that haven’t been to the park before. You pop out of some trees when you get to the lake and the view is amazing every time.

“‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these” – Mark 12:30-31

Forest Stream

Here’s one from the Avalanche Lake Trail in Glacier National Park, Montana.

“‘Have faith in God,’ Jesus answered. ‘Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins'” – Mark 11:22-25

View From Logan Pass

I’d like to say that I hiked deep into the back country and found a secret spot where few humans have ever set foot to get this photo but actually, it’s from the Logan Pass Visitors Center Parking lot. The hardest part about getting this shot was finding a parking spot. Anyway that’s Going-to-the-Sun Mountain on the left located within Glacier National Park, Montana.

“Jesus answered, ‘It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'” – Matthew 4:4

Mount Oberlin

Mount Oberlin in Glacier National Park, Montana stands at 8,179 feet and can be easily seen from the Logan Pass Visitors Center. I’ve read that there’s a trail to the summit that’s not too difficult. Maybe I’ll check it out the next time I’m there and the kids area little older. The photo below is from the Hidden Lake Trail which is a nice short hike with great views.

“This is what the Lord Almighty said: ‘Administer true justice; show mercy and compassion to one another. Do not oppress the widow or the fatherless, the foreigner or the poor. Do not plot evil against each other'” – Zechariah 7:9-10
