Winter Sunshine

Back in February we took advantage of the sunshine and headed out for a Sunday drive. First stop…Port Ludlow. Nice little area and being winter time we almost had the place to ourselves. Oh and the Olympic mountains were out in all their glory. Pretty sweet.

And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. – Acts 2:21

Maligne Lake Monochrome

Here’s a black and white long exposure shot from Spirit Island on Maligne Lake, Canada. Awesome place.

Lincoln Park Sun

Here’s one from a chilly January Sunday at Lincoln Park in West Seattle. You can’t pass up a sunny day in the winter.

“Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them” – John 14:21

The Point

Here’s one from down at the Point at the Dana Point Harbor taken just after sunrise. Great place to sit and watch the waves, boats, birds, and maybe even propose 😉

He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the Lord – Proverbs 18:22

Sixth Bridge

This is Sixth Bridge located in Jasper National Park, Canada. Even though there weren’t that many people around it seemed as though every time I’d almost be done with the long exposure someone would walk into the frame. I don’t mind waiting but it happened a multiple times and then one guy decided to sit in the middle of the bridge and read a map. I just needed sixty seconds! I guess it was a good lesson in patience.

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. – John 3:17

A Stream Runs Through It

Here’s another shot from a stream running through the Colonial Creek Campground in North Cascades National Park, Washington.

Christine Falls

I cruised around Mount Rainier National Park back in October and my first stop was Christine Falls. I’ve driven over these falls numerous times but I’ve never stopped to check it out. I’m glad I did as it is pretty impressive with the bridge coming over top if it. There was even a couple that had just gotten married right near where I took this shot. What a back drop that must have been!

For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost – Luke 19:10

Stick Up

Here’s a long exposure from the Colonial Creek Campground in North Cascades National Park, Washington.

I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted – Luke 18:14

Colonial Creek Campground

Here’s one from the Colonial Creek Campground in North Cascades National Park, Washington. There are a couple of walk-in sites that are right next to this creek and others in the trees along the Diablo Lake shore. Pretty nice.

For the Son of Man in his day will be like the lightning, which flashes and lights up the sky from one end to the other. Luke 17:24

Leech Lake

This is from Leech Lake in Jasper National Park. Hopefully it’s named after a person with the last name of Leech and not named after the blood sucking worms. I wouldn’t venture for a dip in that lake. I’ve seen Stand by Me.

In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents – Luke 15:10
