Thunder Knob Trail

Here’s a scene from the Thunder Knob Trail. It’s 4 miles round-trip with great views of Diablo Lake, WA

He replied, “My mother and brothers are those who hear God’s word and put it into practice.” – Luke 8:21

Mount Rainier View From Sunrise

Here’s another shot of Mount Rainier from Sunrise.

For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open – Luke 8:17

Mount Rainier From Sunrise

If you head up to Mount Rainier make sure to check out the Sunrise side. There are some great views without hiking very far.

But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop – Luke 8:15

From The Other Side

Here’s the last of my bridge shots from the Silver Falls Trail in Mount Rainier National Park. Great trail that the kids can do.

I tell you, among those born of women there is no one greater than John; yet the one who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he – Luke 7:28

Head in the Clouds

Here’s a shot of Rainier from the Mount Fremont Lookout Trail in Mount Rainier National Park. There was this fog that would roll in and totally cover the mountain. Then, a couple minutes later it would clear up and then repeat. That’s mountain weather for you.

A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of – Luke 6:45

Mount Fremont Lookout Trail

I was up at Sunrise in Mount Rainier National Park a couple weeks ago. We attempted to hike up to the Mount Fremont Lookout but the kids (3 and 5) could only make it about 2 miles up the trail and they still had to hike back. I was surprised they made it that far. But, it was getting cold, and a pretty thick fog rolled in around the lookout so we turned around. The fog did clear on our way back so I was able to snap a few pics. Here’s one from the trail.

Each tree is recognized by its own fruit. People do not pick figs from thornbushes, or grapes from briers – Luke 6:44

Barn Claw

I was cruising around The Claw (Enumclaw, Washington) a couple evenings ago and spotted this nice red barn with Mount Rainier in the distance.

Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you – Luke 6:37-38

White Cliffs of Montana

The white cliffs of Montana. Not sure what the name of this hill is but it sure is nice. This was taken during a trip I made to the Treasure State last June.

Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful – Luke 6:36

Diablo Lake

I just got back from a trip to North Cascades National Park. Had a great time hiking and exploring around there. This is Diablo Lake taken from the Thunder Knob Trail. I couldn’t believe how green the water was. Looked like something out of the Canadian Rockies.

But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. – Luke 6:27-28
