Fading Light at Picnic Point Park

We took a trip up to Picnic Point Park in Edmonds, Washington this last weekend. It was one of those last-minute-spur-of-the-moment outings. My wife and I were actually not feeling to well but we didn’t want to sit inside all day so we packed up the kids and headed out.

It was a nice and clear day so the Olympic Mountain Range was in full view. While I was there I saw an Eagle, seal, and two drones. It was my first time seeing a real drone in the wild. I’m sure they are fun to fly and such but it’s kind of weird knowing someone is probably filming you. Anyway, Picnic Point Park was a pretty cool spot.

“Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails” – Proverbs 19:21

Christmas Bokeh

With only about a week and a half until Christmas I just wanted share a Christmas tip. You can get some cool bokeh with the bulbs and lights. However, they are highly reflective so make sure you wear appropriate clothing or use a tripod and remote. Merry Christmas! 🙂

A Stop Along Highway 97

If you ever head on Highway 97 to/from the Wenatchee, WA area be prepared to make many photo stops. Peshastin Creek goes along the highway and provides some great opportunities for some long exposures. I was there last fall and the colors with flowing creek was pretty awesome. Definitely worth the trip.

“One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother” – Proverbs 18:24

View From The Kelly Butte Fire Lookout Trail

After spending some time and enjoying the views of the fog and overcast skies up at the Kelly Butte Fire Lookout we headed back to the truck with not much day light left. As we were descending the trail we came around a turn and got a nice view of the hills below with a little bit of color in the sky. Mt Rainier would be off to the right of the picture below. This hike is definitely on my list to do again.

“Even fools are thought wise if they keep silent, and discerning if they hold their tongues.” – Proverbs 17:28

Wenatchee Row and Paddle Club

There’s a nice 10 mile bike trail that loops around Wenatchee. It takes you across the Columbia River a couple times. While I was riding I was on the lookout for some cool fall scenes. Here’s one that caught my eye of the Wenatchee Row and Paddle Club.

“The one who has knowledge uses words with restraint, and whoever has understanding is even-tempered.” – Proverbs 17:27
